I can't get anyone to give me stuff. I don't think I know the proper way to ask for something for nothing. I don't think companies would be real interested in me and my blog. I'm all over the map with my topics.

I did want to sing the praises of the Swiffer Wet Jet and asked them to give me one for free so I could give it away as a prize, but no response. I still may write about how much I love the product. The FTC shouldn't care because I don't generally do reviews on my blog. BUT, I'm curious how if they thought I was paid how I could prove I wasn't.

It honestly sounds like most of us are perfectly safe. Heck, I haven't even done a review post yet where anybody gave me anything. I actually think the FTC is being quite reasonable about the whole thing. I'm annoyed by non-disclosure on blogs because it makes it diffucult to find trustworthy advice. Of course, on the same note, most bloggers aren't around to scam people. I don't know, it's a sticky issue. I'll shut up now :-)

I wonder if everybody with a Google Ads account is "sponsored" by the advertisers who appear in the ads that then appear on their site, based on the text of their blogs. (Or who write search engine comparisons).

If I write about how I love Pepsi, and a Pepsi ad then shows up, how does that fit in?
