The Best Tip I’ve Ever Had For Parents Taking Road Trips With The Kids. Hint: Floor Mats

If you drive with kids strapped into car seats in the back, you may spend an insane amount of time dealing with things they drop and can’t reach. Even worse, though, is dealing with things they drop and YOU can’t reach, because they’ve ended up under your seat. Here’s the easy solution to your problem:

Just turn the floor mat around, and fold it against the bottom of the seat. (You don’t have to turn it around, but you will block more of the opening if you use the longer, straighter edge.) Boom. Done. All objects dropped will now stay within easy reach of you or your front seat passenger. (Note: I seriously need to vacuum back there. Damn.)
