On Reviews

Sometimes I’ll do a review if you send me something. It might take a while. In fact, I have a running segment called “Backpacking Dad’s Overdue Reviews“, and it’s likely I would take a while to review your product. I took a year to review a back massager. I’m not good at reviews. And just because you’ve sent me something doesn’t mean I’ll think highly of it, so you might not like what I write. I think that’s what the review game is all about, isn’t it? If, despite all of these warnings, you still think you really want me to look at something, go ahead and send it.

On Giveaways and Promotions

No. These are way too time-consuming for me. Well, maybe. I don’t know. Convince me. In any event, I won’t do review-giveaway combos. I find them unsavory.

On Ads

I removed ads from my blog because I don’t like them. Occasionally, for a fee, I will participate in a campaign that involves single posts, but not usually more than that.
