Cortisol

Posted on 09/14/200909/14/2009 by Backpacking Dad

(Sung to Simon and Garfunkel’s “Kodachrome”)

When I think back
On all the sleep I got in utero
It’s a wonder
I can’t sleep at all
And though my lack of sleep and slumber
Hasn’t ended yet
I can tell my folks are up a wall.

Cortiso-o-ol
Because of those nice bright colors
Because of the screams and hollers.
Makes you think all night long that it’s still day, oh yeah
I got a lovey blanket
I love to have a night time bottle
But mama can’t take my cortisol away.
