There Are No Babies In This House

Posted on 07/01/201003/20/2011 by Backpacking Dad

There are no babies in this house, despite what Emily calls Adrian.

There are no babies in this house, despite what I call Erin.

There are no babies in this house, despite what Emily and I call each other.

There are no babies in this house, because Adrian is walking.

There are no babies in this house. For now.

Nice to know you let Adrian out of the backpack long enough for him to learn how to walk. Way to go Adrian!

There are no babies in this house. I grieve and celebrate at the same time. It is exciting to embark on every new adventure that childhood brings, but I so dearly wish for a baby in my arms.
