We took the kids to the Monterey Aquarium on Sunday. The weather was gorgeous, the views spectacular, the fish wet, and the kids excited.
It was the perfect day for taking pictures. However, I have recalcitrant children who refuse to just sit still and look at the camera and smile like they mean it.
So, I ended up with a lot of pictures of the backs of their heads.
I did manage to grab one of Adrian looking contemplatively out toward the sea.
And one of Erin with a fantastic backdrop, which she promptly decided was worth fake enthusiasm and her squintiest smile.
In order to get a good picture of the two of them, looking at the camera, I had to nail their pants to this train and sing eight Yo Gabba Gabba songs in a row while tossing candy at them.
Still….good day.
Great pics, and the kids are adorable. But all I can think is the following line: "Never his mind on where he was. What he was doing." I love a good Yoda reference.
The seahorse one is my favorite! Sometimes I prefer having some good action shots over pics of someone just standing next to something smiling. And either way those kids are cuties =)
It's because they were obviously so engrossed! At least the photos are natural and not posed for the camera. Looks like you all enjoyed a wonderful day
And still adorable photos! I like the last caption best!!
I think the fact that you got them in focus is a major accomplishment. Many of my kids' photos are just flesh colored blurs running by.
I'll have to try the Yo Gabba Gabba songs and candy next time.
